It’s another comic with my ‘small pad big markers’- formula. It illustrates the naturalist worldview in a simplistic manner, that there is a natural explanation for everything and what we deem supernatural is simply science not yet discovered.
The new drawing pad and markers were too much fun. Maybe that could become a new genre in itself ‘small pad big markers’ as a concept that could be transferred to other areas as well. This comic is about the concept of twinsouls/soulmates and illustrates quite humorously how we always think we have found ‘the one’ when we enter a new relationship. Then the relationship often goes sour after a while and ‘the talk’ is inevitable. How we then try to justify the pain of separation with spiritual growth and personal development, or destiny. Then the awkwardness of meeting your ex after you moved on, but still remembering. I think most people can relate to this.
I bought a new pad for my new markers, but the pad was a bit too small for the big markers so the result became a bit naive. But, nonetheless it has a message that could also be interpreted as naive by those who simply don’t care about others or nature. The cartoon illustrates how it feels to be ghosted and how we are ghosting nature, animals, the environment and other things we feel are uncomfortable to confront or deal with.
Hi! My name is Tina and I am a young artist focusing on character illustrations in manga/cartoon-style, though I happily venture into other styles and try new things. My pictures mainly come in color, but I also do images in black/white and grayscale. Check out my examples!

I didn’t make the actual logo here, but the rest of the stuff you see. This was however not done under the Pinkeye Illustrations regime, merely as a student proejct assignment and does not follow Pinkeye Illustrations guidelines either, since the color red is added ( the horror). I suppose colors beside black and white are not completely ruled out, but let’s try to keep it clean at least. 🙂
The people are fast sketches made in the wee hour just before the report was due for exam.
These are drawings made in different ways. Some are drawn by free hand on paper ( the naked men/fauns ) and then I used the tracing tool in Adobe Illustrator on them. Other are drawn from photos ( dog, people, faces) by hand and then also been traced. The “bug” and the heart are drawn on Cintiq Companion ( A Wacom drawingpad) and they have also been traced in Illustrator. The logo has not been traced, but made in Illustrator.
Did I mention the joys of using the tracing tool?? 🙂
